Marney + Trey | A Stormy & Romantic Sundance Mountain Resort Wedding

Marney and Trey traveled in from Colorado to celebrate their wedding at Sundance Mountain Resort in Sundance, Utah, planning an unforgettable mountaintop ceremony at the top of the ski lift.

But Utah mountain weather had other plans.

A sudden spurt of lightning made it unsafe to hold their ceremony at the summit. While that could have derailed the day, it didn’t. We pivoted quickly, adjusted the plan, and created a ceremony experience that was just as meaningful (and honestly, even more intimate).

Their Sundance Resort wedding became a beautiful reminder that the setting may shift, but the purpose stays the same.

Surrounded by family and friends who traveled to witness their vows, Marney and Trey embraced every moment. After the ceremony, the celebration unfolded under warm candlelight, filled with drinks, dancing, and the kind of joy that only comes from being deeply loved.

Sundance Mountain Resort is known for its breathtaking alpine views and elevated mountain wedding experience, and this day delivered all of it just with a little unexpected drama in the sky!

In the end, it wasn’t about the ski lift ceremony.

It was about resilience, celebration, and two people absolutely certain about forever.

If you’re planning a Sundance Mountain Resort wedding and want a team that can pivot seamlessly while preserving the magic, I’d love to connect.
